Bio: Chrissie Nicholson-Wild I've been professionally working as an independent designer and seamstress for over 20 years. ​ Early in my career I learned that precision and craftsmanship were the qualities that set apart great work from the mediocre, and so made it my mission to continuously push my skills, learn new techniques and explore many different niche fashion markets. I began my career first as a shop assistant, and then manager of a fabric store, which was foundational in my understanding of fabrics and running a business. Throughout this period I spent my spare time studying fashion, visiting museums and honing my skills. I came to making competition bikinis 10 years ago, after working in the bridal, corsetry and lingerie industries, through a rogue request from one of my regular clients who just happened to have entered into her first fitness competition. And here she is, winning her first trophy in one of many bikinis I made for her. She was a one-of-a-kind. My Philosophy I believe in the uniqueness of clothing as a form of self expression and as a tool in feeling self confident and authentic. My intention as a designer is to bring out the uniqueness of every client to express themselves with confidence so that they can rock the stage. Never has it been m ore obvious and important to pay attention to how products are made and how it impacts the environment. ​ I try to run my business in line with these ideals to make sure that Miss C is a responsible fashion company. Hold no stock Products are sourced and made at the point of ordering to minimise waste and cut out over production. I hold sample products for display and photo shoots, which if unsold, are recycled into new products. Responsible Material Sourcing All the materials are sourced from responsible manufacturers and within the UK, wherever possible. With the amazing advances in material technology many of my products can be made from recycled fabrics. Recycled packaging I like to keep packaging to a minimum to save your money and mine and to avoid creating extra rubbish pollution.
